AI & Editorial Technology Policy

Tradivior may use digital tools, including artificial-intelligence systems, to support parts of research, organization, drafting, metadata, image preparation or technical publishing. Tools do not replace editorial responsibility.

Evidence must remain traceable

AI-generated statements are not treated as sources. Historical, scientific and cultural claims should be supported by identifiable source material appropriate to the claim. A tool can help locate or organize evidence; it cannot become the evidentiary authority merely because its output sounds confident.

Human editorial responsibility

Published conclusions, Evidence Profiles, corrections and editorial judgments remain the responsibility of Tradivior’s editorial process. Automated systems should not independently decide that a tradition is scientifically validated, historically false or culturally insignificant.

Known risks

Generative systems can invent citations, merge distinct traditions, flatten regional differences, reproduce stereotypes, overstate scientific certainty and retrofit modern explanations onto historical practices. Tradivior’s workflow is designed specifically to guard against those failure modes.

Images

When generated or substantially altered imagery is used, it should not be presented in a way that falsely implies documentary or historical authenticity. Authentic photographs, artworks, artifacts, manuscripts and archaeological material are preferred where they are important to the factual record.

Automation and publication

Automation may assist repetitive publishing tasks, but source quality, article meaning and final presentation still require editorial QA. The goal is to use technology to improve consistency and discovery—not to turn Tradivior into an unreviewed content farm.

Policy updates

As editorial technology changes, this policy may be revised to describe the tools and safeguards relevant to the production site.
